Hi guys,
hope y’all are gearing up for the Valentine. I am looking forward to it because it gives me an opportunity to teach my kids that love is important and should be shared among us all and not exclusive for a limited few.
I honestly do not go out on Valentine’s day because there are hardly seating or room in restaurants or love spots as they usually are over-booked and of course, on Valentine’s day, you definitely cannot get home early because the traffic is usually crazy. So, I choose to spend it indoor and in my house with my lovely family.
however, this does not mean that I do not love Valentine makeup because I do! The reason is because it is the only day of the year that I wear pink makeup and I am not kidding! I am not a fan of pink – I think it is over used so I stay away from pink. But during valentine, I dive into old cliches and old habits.
In: Rosy cheeks, pink lips, soft rosy lips… sheer!
These are the cliches that I love in Valentine makeup! I honestly cannot remember the last time I had rosy cheeks or the last time applied makeup on a client without the usual contouring and defining features… etc. I love valentine makeup because it is simple, fun and reminiscent of innocence. So, here is my Valentine Makeup rule: Just have fun with pink or emerald green and simple, soft finishing that is sheer, subtle but romantic.
And this Valentine, I wasn’t just playing with pink makeup but my hair as well. Since I emancipated myself from my more than a year long addiction to weaves, I have been embracing my ethnicity by being adventurous with my hair and I am loving it!
So, my Valentine look is all complete – a fun hair to match my fun makeup.
Cheers!
I love this look especially your cheeks and your hair!
Thanks girl
