1. Even though black soap is made out of a mixture of plantain peels and cocoa buds ashes and organic butters and oil, it can be a little drying for people with dry skin or sensitive skin. So pick a carrier oil of your choice and add a little amount to the black soap base to increase its hydrating qualities. You can substitute carrier oils with butters like Shea butter, cocoa butter or mango butter for dry skin.
2. Adding herbs to the black soap base will make your soap richer so buy organic herbs of your choice.
Adding essential oils is a must 😀 because besides essential oils being full of nature’s healing goodness, they provide natural fragrances for black soaps. Please do not use more than 2 percent of your total formulation as essential oils when used in excess amount have adverse effects.
