Hi beauties,
By now, you should know that I love quick and easy makeup. I am an advocate for instant glam because as a makeup faithful, I use these quick and easy tips to lure people who are afraid of makeup to this bright side to try new things without leaving their comfort zone.
Am a mum on the go so this makeup tip is for mums like me and for the busy woman; or the woman seeking instant glam 😊.
I love misty looks because it gives the skin a truly deserving healthy glow. Even though the vast majority of African women have oily skin and have heat to deal with, a completely matte look does not work for me most of the time. Matte looks can look too dry so I tend towards misty as it gives a healthy shine that every skin needs. So here is an easy way to achieve a misty look without excessive shine.
By the way, disregard the eye brow filling on my model; I just wasn’t keen on it, no lie!😀
STEPS TO A MISTY LOOK
1. Cleanse and moisturize your skin.
I use No. 7 Day fluid. It works for all skin types.
2. Get these products below and a mixing container or your palm. Squeeze one to two pea sizes of each product and mix with foundation wedge. These are the products I used:
Zaron oil free primer controls excessive shine
Black Opal Flawless Skin liquid makeup. I used Beautiful Bronze on my model.
And Sleek Glisten Me liquid illuminator. I used Goddess.
You do not need more than two pea sizes each of the products; mix and apply all over your face and blend well with foundation wedge or foundation brush.
Once done, squeeze a pea size of the lighter shade of Sleek Glisten Me Liquid Illuminator which is Empress and apply this only on your T-Zone which is your forehead, cheek bone and chin. This is a cool way of using the Sleek Glisten Me liquid Illuminator to highlight the face.
For the eyes, I didn’t even bother with eyeshadow but applied black eye liner, followed by 17 volume mascara.
For the cheeks, I used No. 7 Cream Pink blush on the apple of the cheeks and Grimas dark purple cream blush to contour.
On the lips, I used Mary Kay lip color duo Garnet/Gold. The Gold came handy in creating this misty au natural look.
This look took me ten minutes to create so you should give it a try. You can see how easy it is to use liquid bronzers to not just illuminate the skin but how cool it is smart blending of two shades of bronzers can create the necessary highlight.
Cheers
