Hi guys,
Blue is one of those colours that I rock occasionally and that is usually when I have some where to go at evenings. When I was trying on this look, my inspiration came from the dress itself! I loved the interplay of silver against deep blue and the coolness of the orangy-brown tone on the dress. So for this makeup, I used:
Bobbi brown bronzer
Flori Roberts foundation – as always, I mixed the two for extra coverage and smoothness
17 cream blush
Zaron lip pencil on lips
Sleek honeycomb lip gloss as lip polish
Silver roll on eye dust
And blue & brown from my eyeshadow palette
I am usually careful with blue because it doesn’t brighten my eyes. So to give my eyes that brightness I like, I usually start by applying silver eyeshadow from the inner corner of my eye and blending into the blue. I used the brown shade for contouring.
There are some deep shades of blue shadows I have used in the past. These:
Fair & White eyeshadow palette City, Sleek Bad girl shadow palette and Sleek dust eye shadow and INGLOT dust eyeshadow.
This look offers the right amount of drama for an evening event and is fun for a hippie dress!
For the lips, I kept it simple by lining the entire lips with Zaron creamy lip pencil. I added Sleek honeycomb lip gloss for an added shine. The 17 cream blush was an awesome blend so even though the eyes were strong, the general look was neat, calm and shiny. The Bobbi Brown bronzer provided the perfect glow for a perfect evening.
Cheers!
