For an effective facial treatment, you have to follow seven basic steps:

Cleanse

Exfoliate

Steam

Mask

Tone

Treat

Moisturize

 

D-I-Y facial for Normal to Dry Skin

If your T-zone made up of your forehead, cheeks and nose is usually dry, then you’ve got dry skin. Dry skin tends to be dry and flaky as it lacks moisture. Normal skin is flawless, smooth and spotless. If you’ve got
this condition, then here’s a D-I-Y facial that will help you.

Step 1: Cleanse

Start with a foaming wash to cleanse your face and neck. Flori Roberts Gentle Creamy cleanser is great for normal to dry skin. Flori Roberts foaming gel cleanser is great for normal to dry skin as well as it contains AHA – Alpha Hydroxy Acid. If you prefer a natural remedy, then cleanse your face with milk , as milk acts as moisturizer which is ideal for dry to normal skin. Rinse off with warm water.

Step 2: Exfoliate

St. Ives scrub comes in a variety now for normal to dry skin and you could try St. Ives fresh skin moisturizing olive scrub as the olive oil in it provides great moisture for dry skin. You could also use Flori Roberts
facial scrub and primer. Natural alternatives are great too and you could mix Oats with milk and honey as facial scrub.

Step 3: Steam

After heating some water, Steam for 10 minutes.

Step 4: Mask

Look for masks ideal for normal to dry skin in beauty stores near you. However, you could make use of foods found in your own kitchen. For normal to dry skin, beat one egg but this time, do not extract the yoke, as the
yoke is great for your skin type. Beat both yoke and white together and apply all over face and leave for 10 minutes. You could also use pure natural honey as mask.

Step 5: Tone

Flori Roberts Gentle Refining Toner is ideal for normal to dry skin. You could also try Olay toner for your skin type.

Step 6: Treatment

Dry to normal skin needs moisture so I will recommend that you dedicate more time to allowing moisture into your skin. Blend cucumber into a paste, add some milk and use as mask for 10 minutes. Not only will cucumber provide moisture and cleanse your skin, it will also calm your skin thus allowing further treatment to work even better. Cucumber relieves dryness.

Step 7: Moisturize

Moisturize with GNC E,A,&D moisturizing cream or any face cream with vitamins E, A & D.

 

Daily defence against dryness

Because your skin lacks moisturize, avoid intake of caffeine, alcohol; and if you smoke, consider quitting as all these can cause premature ageing especially for normal to dry skin.
