In my previous POST I questioned the claim that fermented cabbage juice can treat acid reflux (GERD) and wrote about how I began my journey into trying this claim for myself as an acid reflux sufferer.
After making the fermented cabbage juice, I was left with the blended cabbage mash which I did not want to throw away so I chose rather to make cabbage soup with it.

This soup started with the blended cabbage mash

To make the soup, the ingredients in the recipe include:
1 cup of cabbage mash
1 cup of carrot and green peas
3 tablespoons of diced chicken
2 tablespoons of diced beef
Half teaspoon of onion
Quarter teaspoon of fresh ginger paste
1 tablespoon of olive oil
A pinch of salt
A pinch of chicken cube
1 cup of water
Process:
I started by heating up the olive oil in the sauce pan and I poured in the diced onion, chicken and beef. I stir-fried for a few seconds before adding the carrots and green peas. After stir frying, I added the ginger and then the cabbage mash. After a minute, I added the cup of water, a pinch of salt and chicken cube. I allowed to simmer for three minutes before taking it off heat.
The cabbage soup was quite filling and I didn’t feel bloated at all but I felt full. It’s a decent soup for someone trying a healthier diet.
Cheers!
